Experts from NWAFU visited the Belarusian Academy of Agricultural Sciences

From May 20^th to 27^th , with the invitation of Dr. Alexander, Director of the Scientific Research Department of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Belarus, Professor Hu Yingang, a wheat expert of the Academy of Agriculture, and Professor Feng Baili, an expert on miscellaneous grains, visited the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences for a week to exchange and discuss the construction of agricultural science and technology demonstration parks and the cultivation of talents.

Vitali Willikanov, President of Belarus National Agricultural College, Andrei Kolmekov, First Vice-President of Belarus, Yuri Tybitz, Vice-President of Scientific Research, Alexander Ivanistov, Director of Scientific Research Department, Svetlana Noskova, Director of International Exchange Department, Alexander Pashkevich, Director of International Relations and Preparatory Science Department, and Dmitry Dmitry, Director of Doctoral Office Romantikov and others met with the delegation.

During the visit, the two sides exchanged ideas, plans and progress in the construction of Belarus Agricultural Demonstration Park, and submitted the "Western Agricultural Program" on the organization of crop variety selection and promotion, joint cultivation of new varieties, in-depth cooperation in crop cultivation, breeding and other fields, as well as joint training of talents. Vitali Willikanov said that the practical cooperation in scientific research of the mutual parts is of significant benefits. It can not only promote friendly exchanges, but also constantly consolidate the friendship between China and Belarus.

During the visit, the expert group visited the exhibition of agricultural scientific and technological achievements in Belarus, inspected the scientific research platform of the Belarusian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, including the genetic laboratory of the Agricultural College, the Soil Museum of Zihuan University, the Agricultural Machinery Laboratory of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the Hydraulic Laboratory of the Water Construction College, the Center for Food Quality Testing and the Quality Analysis Center, The facility cultivation base exchanged the experience of experiment management and personnel training. At the same time, the international cooperation talents training plan of NWAFU was introduced. The undergraduate students of Belarus Academy of Agricultural Sciences were invited to participate in the summer camp of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University in 2019 - "SUMMER PROGRAM People-to-People Exchange on Chinese Culture and Agriculture", and young Belarusian scholars were invited to visit NWAFU. Andrei Kolmekov, the first vice-president of the Belarusian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, also recommended that Chinese students study as undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees at the Belarusian National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and enjoy high-quality teaching.
